CPS Norway is a registered Norwegian Not-for-Profit organization, established in 2016 to provide assistance to people in the Middle East who are suffering from the effects of war and help them reestablish their lives.
CPS Norway partners with local not-for-profit organisations through fund raising, local governance and in country collaboration support.
Yemen is the poorest country in the Middle East and one of the poorest in the world, ranking 165th out of 167 on the Legatum Prosperity Index™
Yemen has suffered greatly during the ongoing proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabi which has been played out in Yemen since 2015. The UN estimates 377,000 had been killed by the end of 2021. Over 15 million people are food insecure, 500,000 facing famine. More than 4 million people have been displaced.
The UN have described the situation in Yemen as the largest man made disaster since World War 2.
It is the responsibility of civilized societies to attempt to alleviate the suffering of others when they see it.
